Process & Services
Quality web design is much more than building a website, and having a step-by-step approach to web design projects shows all the work and skill involved in developing a successful online presence. You may have not thought about your approach to the web design process in these terms, but maybe the outline below may help shape your own.
The process is divided and categorised this can then be used to create a road map for each individual project. There are numerous steps in the website design process, from gathering the initial information to the completion of your website, then finally to the maintenance which will keep your website up to date and current.
Prestigious-Designs is here to help your business grow online, we don’t just design great websites to create your online presence we also help you gain exposure with potential customers/clients who are looking for your service.
The first phase of the process is all about gathering information about the client’s initial idea and what they require. We will send the client a questionnaire form, which they can fill in and send back to us with all the information to finalise the goals and objective of the website and getting it documented.
Once we get the project details the goals, objectives, features etc. it is time to get the project scope document in place.
A website design questionnaire is a document given to clients before the web design is started to learn exactly what they want out of their new site. This helps to understand client’s expectations and preferences when it comes to their website design.
With the scope well defined, we can start digging into the sitemap, defining how the content and features we defined in scope definition will interrelate.
With the site architecture and some content in place, we can start working on the visual brand. Depending on the client, this may already be well defined, but we might also be defining the visual style from the ground up (To be discussed.)
By now, we have all the pages and defined how they display to the site visitor, so it’s time to make sure it all works by combining manual browsing of the site on a variety of devices with automated site crawlers to identify everything from user experience issues to simple broken links.
The approval element of the web design process should not be considered the final stage of the project but part of the overall organisational workflow. At its most basic level, an approval process involves obtaining a second opinion that authorises the appointed task. Sometimes, the project only requires one approval, but it may occasionally require several, doing this with a client saves time and money, and creates a reliable system that can easily be repeated and replicated.
We run a series of final checks and make sure the client has the skills needed to start working with their new website. Once everything is working perfectly fine, then it is finally time to launch the website.
Our company can set up the SEO features, but then it’s down to the client to further their SEO practice as this feature is an on going process.
We do not offer free hosting which means clients will have to purchase their own. Hosting provides the technologies and services needed for the website to be viewed on the Internet.
We recommend that you have a Google Analytics account, it’s a system that is powered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic, currently as a platform inside the Google Marketing Platform brand.
